Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne or [pa:dUkoborn on January 5, 1986) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Hindi films. Padukone is among the highest-paid actresses in India Her awards comprise three Filmfare Awards. Her name is listed in lists of the nation's most popular stars; Time named her one of the 100 most influential people around the globe in 2018. In 2018, she received with the TIME100 Impact Award in 2022. Padukone was a daughter of tennis champ Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born and raised in Bangalore. She competed in national badminton championships while a teenager. She quit the sport in order to pursue a career as a model. In 2006, she made her debut as an actor in the Kannada film Aishwarya. Padukone also played a two-part role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in her debut Bollywood release, a romance Om Shanti Om (2007), which won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female debut.
