Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actress director, producer, educator, playwright and Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father hails from Britain, while her mother is a "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's early memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and observing her mother at work.
