Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu, an American voice actress, director, and singer is also an outstanding actor. An attractive, clever and talented actress, she's a great example to Asian actors who are aspiring to become big names in Hollywood. After a series of appearances in popular TV series her name was a household name for her role on the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she portrayed Ling Woo. The actress translated her sudden success into big screen roles in movies like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an outstanding performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren Shii. Around the same time she also played the lead role in a few film that did not make the top of the charts, like Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing famous characters in animated films, such as Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's tiny screen role in Cashmere Mafia did not produce any results. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas which had Liu playing recurring roles, helped her reestablish her as an actress. Liu is very careful in picking her roles to ensure that she does not become typecast within a highly intensely competitive field. Although she is very proud of her ethnicity but she doesn't let the fact that she is from China limit her creative abilities.
