Fawn Mckay
Fawn McKay was born 15 September 1915, in Ogden Utah. Fawn McKay, raised in the Mormon Church's First Family used her literary talent and research abilities to create the intriguing biographical psycho-historical study of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945, under the name"No Man knows My History, she used both. The title was in response to a funeral address delivered in 1844 by Church of Latter-Day Saints founder, Joseph Smith. In that sermon he declared: "You do not know what I'm about and you've never seen my heart." Nobody knows my story. I don't know. The 29-year-old wrote Fawn: Since the moment when he spoke, about three dozen writers have taken up the gauntlet. Some have attacked him, some have deified him; a few have experimented with diagnostics. It's not just that the documents do not exist, but however they are fiercely contradictory. It is a matter of separating first-hand testimony from third hand inconsistencies and integrating Mormon-related narratives into a cohesive mosaic of reliable historical facts.
